No good news yet, sadly.
I managed to get the “client” side changes working, so VMs with newer kernels can run under passthrough again.
On the host side I’m stuck with a QEMU issue, I can use the “old” (DPAA2-passthrough capable) QEMU in place of the new one, and even PCIe passthrough works.
If I try to enable DPAA2 passthrough the QEMU instance dies immediately with no output ![]()
The next debugging step, I think, is to “bisect” between kernel versions (and possibly C library) to identify the last possible “working” configuration and to see if we can identify a fix for newer systems.
